This superb old Table Lamp dates we believe to the late 1800's...….There is a 'breather' hole at top so possibly used initially as a Gas Lamp, then later with electricity. The lamp comes in two pieces and has a total height of 16 inches and a maximum diameter of around 7 inches. Beautiful heavy cut crystal with typical Victorian Foliage embellishments. Of British origin.
In perfect condition but an inner rim chip and nibbles where the top piece fits on the base piece....so not actually seen.
The base has a slot cut out for a cord but there are no electrical fittings with the piece but basically all that is required is a mounted bulb on a base with stem plus the cord and off/on switch.
