Cast and engraved dessert luncheon flatware set, in the leaf pattern bye George W. Shiebler Silver Manufacturer, The Leaf pattern was formerly manufactured by Albert Coles.
Five of the knives are manufactured of sterling silver (.925 silver purity), the remaining five knives and all twelve forks are manufactured of coin silver (.900 silver purity)
Most items are engraved with the monogram of “Julia” some are engraved “J.R.F.”.

Marks:
Stamped: With winged S hallmark for George W. Shiebler Company.
Patent 1855, Coin, some are stamped Sterling.
All are engraved with the monograms of “Julia” or “J.R.F.”

The five sterling knives (two have bend marks).

Condition:
Very good used condition, showing age appropriate rubbing wear its forms. Two of the knife blades have bend marks on them. The hand crafted and engraved details are crisp and vibrant. The set consists of twelve forks and ten blunt end knives, there are slight variations in the size and bolsters of the knives. Please see photos for details.

This beautiful dessert / luncheon service in the Leaf pattern consisting of twelve forks and ten knives, manufactured in c.1855 bye the George W. Shiebler Silver Manufacturing Company, are a wonderful example of classic flatware design. They have beautifully detailed and engraved forms. They will function and display well whenever you may choose to use them.
