For sale here is a quite impressive BIG vintage 1980s handmade studio art glass post modern Vase of American origin. I purchased this vase for my personal collection about 30 years ago from a glass dealer who bought it directly from the studio artist, but unfortunately the artist information has been misplaced/lost along the way. A stunning work of original 1980s studio glass art! The vase is similar to traditional amberina glass in that it transitions from red to amber from top to bottom, but it also has applied black glass wire encircling it at the waist section, and a silver metallic flake overlay in the bottom amber-colored section. Very complex design and truly post-modern! Measures 12" tall by 7" wide by 5-1/4" deep, and weighs about 5 pounds before packing. Unmarked. Polished pontil at bottom as shown. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light shelf wear at the bottom as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
