For sale here is a SUPERB pair of vintage 1960s 70s handmade art glass modernist Face masks artworks. No doubt a one of a kind pair of glass artworks. Made using the technique known as fused glass, or slump glass in colorless and purple glass, and with apparent bubbles as shown. Each measures 10.5" tall by 6.5" wide by 2" deep (slightly curved outward). The pair weigh about 5 pounds prior to packing, and will require extra packing materials and double boxing to insure safe arrival. No marks and no doubt sold originally in a gallery or museum shop with labels or original paperwork which have been lost over the years. These were intended to stand up in my opinion in a display case using a display stand, but also could be attached to a plate-hanger type device for hanging on the wall. These devices are commonly available in craft shops etc. One of the masks is absolutely perfect, the other has a very slight bump to the nose which is really not at all noticeable, and a shallow flake or chip at one of the back edges that you can feel with your hand but once again is not at all noticeable because it's at the back. Overall excellent condition with the above caveats and as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
