Vintage beehive 8 day mantle clock with metal case appears bronze gilt. Not working. I had this cleaned and adjusted. It then worked but lost 5 minutes a day, had to be wound every few days. The last time I wound it, It wound completely, then did not start. Needs repair. Has bevel glass. Porcelain face with interesting age marks. Seconds Dial Insert. Marked Made in USA at bottom of face. Believed made by Ansonia or Session, but has no makers' mark. Case is 7 inches high, base 4 3/4 in wide, 2 13/16 in deep. Face 3 1/4 in across, OD of clock insert in back 3 1/2 in.
