This antique bootjack is cast iron with original black paint. There is some paint wear/paint loss but overall the patina is attractive. "Try me" is written in cut out letters down the center. There is excess metal which was not filed off when the jack was made. This piece dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. It is in good used condition with no damage to the iron found. This would be a nice bootjack to use and/or display.
