An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English cast sterling silver presentation trophy on plinth in the form of a footballer; an addition to our sport related silverware collection

This exceptional antique Edwardian English cast sterling silver presentation piece has been realistically modelled in the form of a football player throwing a ball.

This antique football trophy is embellished with impressive cast details reproducing the fine details of the footballer's attire, facial features and ball.

The sterling silver ornament surmounts a grass terrain textured silver plateau and is supported by the original painted wood presentation plinth.

The plinth retains the original silver plaque embellished with the presentation inscription 'C.H.Pickford, 29th March 1923'.

This fine silver football trophy is fitted with leatherette to the underside.

Condition
This antique football trophy is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The cast decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the terrain plateau are all very clear. Please see images 6 and 7 for reference.
