This amazing rare miniature oil lamp was produced in the late 1800's to early 1900's and features an embossed swirl design in spatter/end of day glass in swirls of pink, tan, brown and white.
The lamp stands on 5 attached blown feet and has a period Crown burner.
Shown in book "Miniature Lamps I" by Frank & Ruth Smith, page 222, figure 549.
Approx. measurement is 8 1/2" tall to top of lamp and 3 3/4" diameter (base).
Excellent condition however it is missing it's chimney. There are a couple of very minor flakes to bottom ground edge (see photo)which may have happened in the making when it glass was ground. Whether from the making or after, the flakes are completely hidden by shade holder. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Really a wonderful miniature oil lamp.
