In the 1970s, these vintage genuine Linda Farrow sunglasses were stored in a Farrow London warehouse as unworn old stock as they changed designs with every season. These were sent to us in Florida in the 1980s by my uncle Julian (since passed) and aunt Linda Farrow so I could sell them to boutiques and surf shops down here. We sold them for a short time, got busy with other things and so they have sat in our warehouse for many years. In the meantime, my actual British first cousins turned the mostly European brand into an International mega fashion brand. They created and collaborated with major designers and celebrities like Dries Van Noten, Oscar de la Renta, Alexander Wang, The Row, Jeremy Scott, Agent Provocateur, Lady Gaga and too many other big names to list. Now, current Linda Farrow sunglasses sell for hundreds of dollars.
These vintage Farrow sunglasses still have original label and are unworn. The style is still as edgy and great and cool as ever.
These frames are a matte black and brown tortoise shell with an overall 'dark' look. The lens are dark green. These are great for blocking out that too-bright sun that bothers your eyes.
The sunglasses measure 5 5/8 inches across the top. The lens measure 2 inches high. The arms measure 5 inches long. These weigh a light 30 grams. The inside arm is marked FARROW 268.
From the day Linda Farrow went into business circa 1970, I know that my aunt and uncle always used the finest hardware components and opticals for their glasses. It's one reason I'm still wearing the same ones I've been wearing since the 1980s. They hold up very well and seem to look unique and stylish no matter what decade it is.
Excellent unworn vintage condition.
