We don't often get such high-end designer pieces but we lucked out with this rare pair of 1980s Porsche Design 5694 black matte frame sunglasses.

The sunglasses come in their original black Porsche hard case...and...they come with a second pair of lens in there.

These sunglasses were made in Austria and one look and feel tells you that these are outstanding quality and craftsmanship.

These vintage Carrera Porsche Design sunglasses are marked on the inside arm... CE 5694 90 55 [] 14 135. The other inside arm is marked PORSCHE DESIGN BY CARRERA PAT. PEND.

The sunglasses are a sleek, racing-inspired design with interchangeable lenses (looks like two shades of gray). The unique rarity of Porsche Carrera 5694 sunglasses lies in the magnetic lenses of this very hard to find frame. The interchangeable lenses attach to the frame by two magnets on both the frame and lenses, and color coding lets you know which lens is which and which side goes where.

The unisex Carrera Porsche Design 5694 frame measures approximately 5.25 inches across the top. The lens measure 1 3/4 inches high (with frame). The inside arm measures 5 1/4 inches long.

The left lenses in both sets are laser etched PORSCHE DESIGN with the PD logo at the top. The Porsche Design logo is also impressed on the exterior of one ear stem.

The case measures 6 inches across by 3 1/2 inches wide. It's marked with PORSCHE DESIGN BY CARRERA.

Minor age-related wear to the case. The sunglasses and extra lens have been well-protected.

Excellent vintage condition. A rare pair of Porsche.
