Rare Antique 19thC Victorian Spun Glass Ship in Dome, Diorama

A rare Antique (circa late 1800s) Victorian Spun Glass Diorama. The Ship is hand blown from thin glass and is on a "sea" of glass or cellophane. The Ship is in the original glass dome with a wood base, it was made specifically for this because the center glass rod comes through to the bottom. Overall dimensions are 7 3/4" high x 5 1/2" in diameter across the wood base. The Spun Glass Ship is in very good overall condition. There is a bit of glue on the bottom of the ship which looks like it is meant to hold the sea in place, it has darkened with age, see closeup photo. These are very rare to find intact, this one is still tightly put together to keep the ship secure.
