This is an unusual chatelaine of silvered metal with decorative black and white enamel, with fixed waist hook at the back. The decoration consists of a crescent at the top which attaches to a black and white star. From this waist plaque hang two sets of chains; the central ones hold another smaller plaque which echoes the same style of decoration, with a loop at the bottom that could have held another ornament. The outer two chains join at a simple ring to which other items could be added such as keys, a purse or possibly even a fan. The condition is good for age with the occasional scattered small areas of loss of the enamel. This is an unusual example and would add to a collection of more exotic chatelaines or fashion accessories.
Maximum length 3.75 ins (9.5cm). Weight 18 grams.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $30.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
