This delightful fashion plate depicts tow elegant ladies in a garden wearing elaborate bustle gowns, hats, jewellery, reticule and one with a matching chatelaine purse. This lady also holds a posy of flowers. The artists involved are Bonnard and Laure Noël. This image is from La Mode Illustrée, Bureaux du Journal, 56 rue Jacob, Paris. The gowns are from the Toilettes de Mme Fladry, 43 Rue Richer. It is dated 1876, No 17. The image is in good condition for age with only minimal faint spotting. It currently has no mat and is not framed and could be posted rolled in a tube for shipping - please contact us for a price. This would be a lovely fashion plate to collect displaying fashions of the era, or with a mat and frame would make a statement on your wall. Width 10 ins (25.4cm) x height 14.5 ins (36.7cm). This item appears in my book, “Chatelaines Utility to Glorious Extravagance” on page 177.
