This is an unusual and versatile steel chatelaine. The waist plaque has a lovely cut-out steel pattern with a long steel hook at the back for securing the piece to the waistband or belt. The five short chains are of equal length and each is constructed of alternating larger ovals with smaller circular split rings. Each ends with a finely constructed steel hook. The condition of very good for age, with some slight staining on the main piece and more so on the front surface of the waist hook, but this would not be visible when worn. This piece would give the owner the exciting option for collecting their own steel accessories or keys to make a unique fashion statement. It appears in my book, “Chatelaines, Utility to Glorious Extravagance” on page 234. Length 5 ins (12.8cm). Weight 40 grams.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $30.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
