This is an appealing set of three manicure tools (tweezers, nail file and nail cleaner) attached to a large decorative silver metal finger ring. The handles of each tool are embellished with lovely pale blue/turquoise enamel. This has a maker’s mark but it is not really decipherable. One of the tools states that it is English steel. This piece could have been worn on its own as a finger ring chatelaine, daintily hanging from the fifth finger, or it could have been attached to the swivel of a chain or a chatelaine. The condition is very good for age although there is one area of loss of the enamel (see image). This would be a lovely item to add to a collection of early vanity items or a collection of chatelaines or other fashion accessories.
Maximum length 4.1 ins (10.5cm). Weight 20 grams.
This item appears in my book, “Chatelaines, Utility to Glorious Extravagance” on page 271.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $28.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
