This wonderful sculpture from G Ruggeri is a small vintage resin version of Michelangelo’s Pietà – the famous work of art that depicts the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the Crucifixion.

Signature: signed on the back of the base G. R. Sculptor G. Ruggeri, Made in Italy - gold foil label on the underside.

Measurements: very small at approx 2-5/8” high x 2” at the widest x 1-1/4” deep.

Very good condition with a tiny chip in Mary's veil. What looks like soiling in the recesses appears to be purposeful sculptural definition (if that makes sense...)

NOTE: the little sculpture is a much lighter cream color in person.
