I love this fellow, he is so sculptural and striking, he has a simplicity of line that entirely captures the look of the living animal from all angles. A large cast iron sitting giraffe with a long turned neck, this has a golden bronze finish and measures a mighty 7 7/8" tall by 4 1/2" long across the body, it dates to the early part of last century. The giraffe is in excellent estate order with just very minor wear to the finishes, he would be a wonderful addition to a collection of Hubley pieces, he is hard to find to the point of being fairly rare...............
